Whether you are en-route to Mozambique, the Kruger National Park or just looking for a relaxing breakaway…River Hill Lodge is the place to be.
We’ve stayed over at the lodge on two occasions en-route to Mozambique and each time we say we definitely need to stay longer.
River Hill Lodge is a four star lodge, situated in Komatipoort on the banks of the Komati River. The lodge is owner managed. Richard and Michele are the perfect hosts, offering fabulous hospitality and a personal touch to everything from your well prepared meals to the finest detail in each of the chalets.

The lodge is perfectly positioned next to the river, slightly elevated providing you will the most awesome views over the river and the Kruger Park beyond.
The best place to experience these views are in the Bar over looking the river.
The views from here are breathtaking and be sure to experience the most amazing bushveld sunsets from here.
The chalets are spectacularly furnished and are truly a home away from home. They offer both catered and self-catering accommodation and the food is to die for; personally prepared, well presented and ever so tasty.
The lodge also offers a sparkling blue pool just below the bar also adjacent to the river. From here you also have perfect views of the river and its many inhabitants.
One new feature to the lodge is the Boma. Also beautifully decorated giving you the “dining beneath the stars” experience.
You may find that it’s not only guests of a human kind that frequent the lodge. There is plenty of wildlife that make their appearance when the luck is on your side and it’s only to be expected with gardens and surround so perfectly suited for both animal and man.
The local hippos also frequent the river below and on the odd occasion a crocodile or two as well.
Beautifully maintained gardens surround the chalets.
